Spiderman caught by police

London, UK

A man calling himself Spiderman has been arrested for apparently wasting police time.

He climbed 100m up the side of a building without the aid of any safety gear in a bid to raise awareness about climate change.

The report in The Times newspaper states that Alain Robert, a 45 year old French man, wore a t-shirt promoting the website The Solution is Simple.

His website states - as the name would imply - that easy answers exist to combat global warming. They are:

1. Stop cutting down trees.

2. Make everything energy-efficient.

3. Only make clean energy.

To sum up what needs to be done so succinctly is as commendable as his actions were yesterday.

It’s a really well-constructed site giving plenty of facts in a clear-to-understand way and well worth a visit.

As I type this - it is not yet clear if he has been released from custody - having also been charged with criminal damage.

Could someone please explain what damage he was causing?
